TRIANGLES USE ARIAL ATTACK TO UPSET INDEPENDENTS

With 6 players still recovering from recent injuries, (Novak, Lyle, Ursella, Marshall, Wyman, and Jordan) the Independents were but a shell of themselves.

In the first quarter Rube Ursella made a rare mistake when he fumbled a punt on his own 40-yard line. The Triangles capitalized and took the ball in for the score to make it 7-0.  The Independents regrouped and held the ball for most of the second quarter. The Independents drove the ball deep into Triangle territory late in the second quarter. As they lined up at the Triangle 4 inch line the whistle blew signaling the end of the half..

In the fouth quarter the Triangles took to the air and marched all over the injury plagued Independents. Novak the secondary man and Wyman had to leave the game due to injury. The Triangles threw 2 touchdown passes in the final 10 minutes to seal the game. When the stats were counted the Triangles had thrown for 157 yards to the Independents 22. The Independents won the first down battle 11-8 but it did not matter.
